The Great Treverbyn Bake Off 2021

ReachOut Creative Futures is proud to announce that it will be hosting the Great Treverbyn Bake Off at Treverbyn Community Hall on Sunday 25th July 2021. Here you can find all of the resources for the competition including the Entry Form, a poster you can display to help us spread the word, full terms and conditions and the recipe for the Technical Challenge.

All entry forms and fees are to be returned to Treverbyn Community Hall by 4pm on Thursday 22nd July 2021.

Baked goods must be brought to the Hall between 10am and 11am on Sunday 25th July.

Closed judging will take place between 11am and 1pm.

At 1pm the winners will be announced.

At 1:30pm cakes will be sold to the public.

Proceeds from entry fees and the cake sale will be shared between Treverbyn Community Hall and ReachOut Creative Futures for fitting out and refurbishing of the kitchen in our new premises, which helps us to empower young people through our baking enterprise project.

The competition is divided into a number of categories and age groups as follows:

Adults (over 16s):

The GTBO (Great Treverbyn Bake Off) Special – For the more experienced baker, this special round comprises three categories of bakes as follows: Signature bake – 4 teacakes of your own interpretation. Technical bake – Bakewell Tart using the recipe provided below. Showstopper bake – A beach themed Celebration Cake (minimum of 2 layers with one a genoise sponge and to include meringue buttercream).

Chocolate Cake – Your finest chocolate indulgence.

Scones – Batch of 6

White Bread Loaf – Use your loaf!

Under 16s:

Decorated Biscuits – Batch of 12

Cupcakes – Batch of 6

7 years and under:

Decorated Biscuits – Batch of 6


Please note that the entry form is a tri-fold leaflet that will need to be printed on both sides on an A4 sheet.
