The bar area is our social hub where students and staff spend break time and where we hold our morning meetings. There are large comfy sofas to relax as well as quiet corners for reading. You may also have spotted the pool table which is free to use. The bar is also where we hold events such as pop-cafes and is available for booking to local groups with optional catering.
The first floor landing is where you will find our small lending library. The shelves are packed with useful resources as well as a great collection of fiction to suit all ages…including our staff!
You’ll always find us in the kitchen at ReachOut! Newly refurbished in 2022, the kitchen is where our students develop top-notch baking skills with Marc and independent living skills with Dionne.
This is the larger of the two meeting rooms available to hire. An oval table provides seating for up to 6 in comfort and visitors can ask for the use of projectors and flip-charts. Catering can be provided when booked in advance.
This is our smaller meeting room which also doubles as a quiet space and reading room. It is ideally suited to one-to-one meetings and is perfect when support workers and health professionals visit.
This is our classroom where we deliver Functional Skills (English and Maths). Class sizes rarely exceed 6 students although additional space is available in the building when required. The room features a ceiling mounted projector to a standard whiteboard – perfect for annotating projected work and images.
Our media room is equipped with all the gadgets needed for exploring photography, film making and content creation for our website and social media. Our laptops are loaded with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere software for photography post processing, graphic design and video editing. This room also features a projector and sound bar.
Our arts and crafts room is the perfect place to explore the more traditional art forms of painting, sketching, model making and anything that might involve a bit of mess!
