We are currently seeking an experienced TA for maternity cover

POST:                Teaching Assistant (Maternity Cover for next academic year only)

HOURS:              22.5 per week during term time only

LOCATION:        Seven Stars Inn, 1 East Hill, St Austell

SALARY:            £24,745.50pa  Pro Rota £14,845.20 pa

Responsible to: Board of Directors

 Hours: 22.5 per week

This Post is to cover Maternity leave for the next academic year only.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

To support Tutors in delivering accredited qualifications to Young People who are struggling in education due to lack of confidence and self-esteem.  The post holder will need to have an excellent connection with young people and be able to engage them in creative and team building activities. Think on their feet, have a good sense of humour and have a flexible approach to working practices.

Develop purposeful relationships with individuals and groups of young people, support them with planning and developing their interests and respond to their needs.

Support young people to achieve an accredited learning outcome appropriate to their interest and skills and support groups and individuals to achieve greater levels of self- confidence and self-esteem through specifically designed projects in line with funding requirements.

General Duties and Responsibilities

Contribute to the planning; delivery and evaluation of programmes, ensuring young people are supported to contribute their views.

Take a shared responsibility for the care of premises, resources and equipment throughout the session.

Implement ReachOut Creative Futures Equal Opportunities policies.

Implement ReachOut Creative Futures safeguarding children and child protection policies. 

In consultation with the Project Co-ordinator make a positive contribution to the continuous improvement and overall development of the service including regular attendance to the briefing prior to the session starting and other service meetings and conferences.

Comply with Health and Safety Standards.

To adhere to existing working practices, methods, procedures.

 Undertake relevant training and development activities and respond positively to new and alternative systems.

 It will be necessary to work with information technology and associated systems in accordance with ReachOut Creative Futures policies.

To co-operate with ReachOut Creative Future in complying with risk assesments, relevant health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures in the performance of the duties of the post.

To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the overall function, commensurate with the level of responsibilities of the post.
